Plane makes emergency landing in Fountain Lake on bypass

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – A pilot was able to successfully land a small aircraft on a highway in Fountain Lake after developing a mechanical issue.
The plane touched down on Highway 5 just south of the intersection with Highway 7 near Fountain Lake shortly after noon.
Garland County Sheriff’s deputies, Arkansas State Police and Fountain Lake Fire Department all responded.
The four-seat, single-engine Piper Cherokee Arrow had several people on board; none were injured.
